Departure Time RTFP suggests a time. You can edit this suggestion as needed. Check the Zulu box to have RTFP convert local time to Zulu time. Ensure that the Windows Date/Time Control Panel is properly set up for your time zone. If you are traveling to a different time zone with your notebook computer, take the time difference into account; or consider changing your system time to display the correct local time.
Estimated Time Enroute Do not use colons when entering your time enroute. For example, one hour and 30 minutes should look like 0130, not 01:30.
Aircraft Registration Number Verify that the registration of your aircraft is accurately represented. This number defaults from the aircraft that you selected during your Route Planning process. If the tail number is not accurately entered, perform one of the following actions:
Enter the correct registration number in the Standard Wx:Route dialog box.
If the aircraft selected is your default or current aircraft, click Edit > Aircraft Data > Edit Current Aircraft. In the Edit Aircraft Model dialog box, change the Registration number for a permanent change to your default aircraft.
If you selected another aircraft other than the default for this flight, go to Edit > Aircraft Data > Select Aircraft. In the Aircraft Library Manager dialog box, select the aircraft, and click Edit. In the Edit Aircraft Model dialog box, change the Registration number for a permanent change to the selected aircraft.
NOTE: RTFP does not complete a briefing if this field contains an invalid number.
Briefing Type Select Plain Language to get a decoded briefing. When you choose plain language, also select the FAA Weather check box to download AIRMETs, SIGMETs and METAR data to display in the Enroute Chart View. Plain language briefings tend to be very long.
Weather Advisories Select the following options as desired:
General FDC NOTAMs Be careful! Checking this box adds Flight Data Center (FDC) NOTAMs that are not associated with your planned trip to your briefing, like TFRs. These NOTAMs are often worldwide in scope and go on for many pages. You can download only the NOTAMs affecting airports and navaids along your route, but YOU COULD MISS A NOTAM THAT AFFECTS YOU BY DOING THIS TYPE OF DOWNLOAD.
ATC Delay and Flow Control Advisories
Tropical Depression/Hurricane Advisories
