The Profile View allows you to view the Minimum Enroute Altitudes (MEAs) along your route and change your flight altitudes between route segments.
MEAs display in the Profile View as a heavy yellow line for routes planned as IFR and Airway. To display MEAs:
Right-click anywhere in the Profile View.
Choose Show MEAs from the shortcut menu.
In the Profile View, you can select a different altitude for each segment of your trip. The number of segments available is based upon the number of waypoints between your departure and destination airports. If the route contains only a departure and destination, there is only one route segment. This situation primarily occurs on GPS/Direct routes. Use the rubberband feature to add waypoints along the route line.
To change the altitude of a route segment in the Profile view:
Select one or more segments of the planned route by clicking on the segment. A pink highlight appears on the segment that you selected.
Select more than one adjoining segment by pressing SHIFT and clicking the first and last segments. All of the intermediate segments are selected.
Select non-adjoining segments by pressing CTRL and clicking only the segments that you want.
Select all segments by right-clicking in the Profile View and choosing Select All Segments from the shortcut menu.
Click and drag the segment to the desired altitude in 500 foot increments. The altitude selected displays to the left of the view.
