The following list comprises known issues for the first iteration of JIFP:
In the Weight and Balance dialog box, the value shown for Min Fuel to meet Reserves does not reliably provide enough fuel required for legal reserve times (30 minutes for VFR, and 45 minutes for IFR or night VFR).
Land or water mass is missing or not displaying correctly on the enroute chart. The data is missing from the national terrain database JIFP uses (along with FliteStar, JeppView, FliteDeck, and JetPlanner). A number of low-lying areas worldwide are missing, as well as the western half of the Bohai sea in China. When the data is fixed, your chart data will update when you log onto the server.
When displaying the high-resolution TIGER geography data, the water polygons only extend 3 miles offshore. Past 3 miles, the zero-elevation terrain displays.
Clicking Print from the Print Preview screen only prints one page. It prints an "overview" chart of the whole route on the one page, rather than just the first of multiple pages. However, if you click Print from the Trip Kit page (not Print Preview) then everything prints fine.
Convective SIGMETs do not display over the enroute chart after downloading a standard weather briefing.
