Sometimes saving routes that you use often is easier than re-creating them. You can save up to 25 routes on the server.
After generating a route, save it to the server by opening the Route Management dialog box.
Click File > Save/Load Routes or press CTRL+S.
Click Store Current Route.
Unless you changed the route name in the Route Properties dialog box, the default file name used to store routes is the identifiers of the departure and destination initially entered in the route planning tool. When you store a route, the aircraft model used and the route weight and balance information are also saved.
To load a route from the server, follow these steps:
Click File > Save/Load Routes or press CTRL+S.
Select a route from the list.
Double-click the route, or click Get Stored Route.
Since the aircraft is saved with the route, you might encounter three scenarios when you load routes on a different computer, or after making changes to aircraft models:
If you load a route where the aircraft model saved with the route is not in the Pilot Aircraft List (Edit > Aircraft Data > Select Aircraft), the default aircraft model is used. The route weight and balance information resets. To change the default aircraft model, see Selecting a Sample Aircraft Model.
If you load a route where the aircraft model saved with the route has different data than the same aircraft name found in the Pilot Aircraft List (Edit > Aircraft Data > Select Aircraft), JIFP uses the information in the Pilot Aircraft List. The route weight and balance information resets.
If you load a route where the aircraft saved with the route is different than the default aircraft, JIFP changes your default aircraft to that loading with the route.
You can only load one route at a time. Save the displayed route first before loading another route. If you try to create or load another route while a route is displayed and not saved, the message " The current route has been modified. Would you like to save this route?" displays.
Click Yes to display the Route Management dialog box to save the route.
Click No to dismiss the displayed route without saving it to the server. The new route is loaded.
Reversed routes display the route name and the word Reversed in parenthesis.
To delete a saved route from the server, open the Route Management dialog box.
Click File > Save/Load Routes or press CTRL+S.
Select a route from the list.
Click Delete Stored Route.
