Theme—
Print the charts on a selected theme by using the drop-down menu. The
default choice is the theme currently displayed in the Enroute Chart View.
The printed charts might not reflect all of the chart elements that are
displayed in the Enroute Chart View due to decluttering issues, but the
program does consider the chart preferences.
Departure / Stops / Destination—
Prints the departure, destination, and any stops specified in the route
at a 1:250,000 scale. If selected, these charts print first in the Trip
Kit.
Entire Route—
Includes an overview chart showing the entire route in the Trip Kit, including
numbered depictions of each enroute page in the Strip Charts printout.
Strip Charts—
Prints your entire route in sequential pages, at one of eight scales ranging
from 1:250,000 to 1:124,764,454. Specify any scale with any theme. Beside
some of the theme scales is an annotation of whether it depicts the scale
of a printed chart or if the scale is what is viewed in the Enroute Chart
View:
LAE —
IFR Low Altitude Enroute Charts (1:729,134)
(**) —
Prints the strip charts at the scale of the current Enroute Chart View.
Select Include Profile Sections to include the
Profile
View
at the bottom of each printed chart.
Select Include NavLog Sections to print appropriate
sections of the Navigation Log
at the bottom of each printed chart.
NOTE
The amount of paper required
to print the charts depends on the scale you choose, the length of your
route, and your page setting selection.
Select the check boxes in the Weather field to indicate whether you
want to print downloaded text briefings, weather graphics, or both. Click
List to display a dialog box from which you can
select the specific weather information types to print.
Some printer drivers have
a difficult time printing the Nav Log and the ICAO Flight Plan together
using the Two per page print setting. When this
occurs, your printer might freeze up, requiring you to manually turn the
printer off and then back on to clear the cached data. If this happens,
try the following:
Check to the printer manufacturer's
website for updated printer drivers.
Print the information using the
single page print setting (clear the Two per page check box).
Print the Nav Log and the ICAO Flight
Plan separately.
Use the Page Settings field to select the format
for the reports.
Single Page Printing—
The default printing option is single page. To select this option, clear
the Two per page check box on the Printing
dialog. Using single page printing, the chart is scaled to fill the entire
page.
Two Per Page Printing—
Prints charts so that two charts are printed on the same page, maximizing
each chart on its half of the page.
Print on both sides—
If your printer supports duplex printing, this option saves paper by using
both sides. Selecting this check box saves the steps of going into Print Setup and selecting Duplex Printing.
You can view your printer setup, print directly to the printer, and
preview what you are about to print.
Print—
Prints the Trip Kit with the selected options.
Print Preview— In the Print Preview view,
you can see what your Trip Kit looks like when printed. Use the buttons
on the toolbar to look over the pages.
Print Setup— Displays the Print
Setup dialog box, allowing you to change printers and orientation,
and view print driver properties.
