Viewing and Interpreting Airspace

The Profile View shows airspace relative to the planned flight path. This airspace is shown if the planned flight path travels through, over, or under the adjacent airspace.

Displaying Airspaces

By default, all airspace types are displayed. To customize what airspace types to display in the Profile View:

  1. Right-click anywhere within the Profile View.

  2. Select Show Terminal Airspace or Show Special Use Airspace.

  3. In the Airspace Types dialog box, select or clear the check boxes for the airspace desired.

  4. Click OK.

Viewing Airspace Properties

To view the properties of the airspace shown on the Profile View:

  1. Double-click on the border or edge of the airspace. The border is highlighted in white as displayed below:

 

  1. When the Properties dialog box displays, view the information in the General tab, or enter notes in the Notebook tab. Click Close when you are finished viewing the airspace properties.

 

If overlapping airspaces appear in the Profile View, a dialog box displays when you double-click the area. Select your choice, and click Info to display the properties.
