Although technically a waypoint is a type of fix, the term “waypoint” is commonly used to refer to other types of fixes as well. This program might use “waypoints” to include types of fixes that are not technically considered waypoints by FAA, JAA, or ICAO definition. A waypoint as used in JIFP is any airport, VOR, NDB, or other fix that can be used for defining a route. They also include User-Defined Waypoints.
