Where can I get a DUAT/S access code so that I can download weather?

Pilots with a valid U.S. medical certificate can obtain a free DUAT/S access code and  password from either or both of the two FAA-approved DUAT/S providers, CSC and DTC.

DTC:  http://www.duat.com/form/getaccess.frm     Phone:  (800) 243-3828

CSC:  http://www.duats.com/duats.cgi     Phone:  (800) 345-3828

Sometimes when I download DUAT/S weather, the weather overlay drop-down list on the toolbar says "No DTC/CSC weather graphics."  Why does this happen?

JIFP does not support all weather graphic types for overlay on the enroute chart. In general, only NexRad radar and satellite maps can overlay on the map.

Occasionally when downloading a DUAT/S briefing or graphic maps, I get a message that says "Session Terminated Prematurely." Why does this happen?

This situation usually indicates either a network problem, the connection was dropped, or DUAT/S was busy.

This problem can also be caused by a firewall between your computer and the internet, especially if it occurs from your office only. Check with your network administrator for possible solutions.

When downloading a weather briefing from DUAT/S, I get a message stating that there is an invalid exit from a victory airway in my route or an airport is not identified. What do I need to do to correct this problem?

DUAT/S uses different data than FAA and Jeppesen, so this is a common problem when downloading weather from both DUAT/S providers. Try deleting the mismatched identifiers or airways from the briefing request and resubmit it.
